Thank You for being a part of the Tampa Adventure Group. We appreciate all of you and can't wait to plan more exciting and adventurous events through the rest of 2009 and into 2010. Each month provides the opportunity for T.A.G. to plan adventurous events for everyone to enjoy.

Most of you have seen how quick the group has grown; this is mainly due to the large amount of friendly and loyal members, plus a testimony of the quality of events provided. T.A.G. has seen a lot of friendships formed; obstacles overcome, and members getting out of their comfort zone to try new adventurous activities, making T.A.G a successful group.

Unfortunately the Tampa Adventure Group can no longer afford to cover its costs from just the organizers inputs, we need the help from participating members. Therefore its required that everyone pay yearly dues of $15 which is a small fraction of $1.25 a month, about the same amount of a bottle of soda!. This small fee will help pay for the yearly costs that occur with TAG, and allow for better quality during events in the future.

The following are costs that organizers have been paying out of pocket.

T.A.G.'s Costs 2007-Present

• Monthly Meetup website fee – Allows members to RSVP
• TAG Website - Allows us to host our video and pictures and chat monthly fees
• Cell phone monthly fee - quick contact directly to the organizer for directions or questions
• TAG banner - Helps members find the event locations and advertises the group
• TAG Business Cards – Brings in new members. Gives members the phone number and email
• Park and event fees – Fees associated with camping or using a state or national park
• Gear – First aid kits, maps, batteries, etc all with TAG members safety in mind
• SPOT GPS Locater annual fee – Allows members to be found anywhere in the world during emergencies (http://www.findmespot...)
• USPS P.O. Box monthly fee – TAG mailing address to allow members to send checks, money orders, or letters of interest
• Picnic – Food and equipment for TAG members only picnics
• Charity/Environment – Contributions to organizations
• Event costs – Organizer costs to attend events, pay for fuel, etc.
• TAG Clothes - Hats and shirts so you guys can find me as well as new members.

I know that some of the members will disagree with having to pay a yearly fee, but at $15 you won’t find a lower cost to support such a great organization. Some adventure groups in Florida are charging $50, $100, and even $1800 a year to participate, yet they don’t have nearly as many events, and most events are the same

What will the $15 get members? I am glad you asked. The list of benefits is growing continuously so expect it to get bigger over the next few years.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Do I have to pay using Amazon?
No, you do not have to use amazon, but it is preferred. Amazon payments allow the tracking of what members have paid and who have not paid. This tracking will make it much easier to monitor the status of payments. Paypal does not allow this type of tracking for payments.

What if I want to pay more than $15?
That’s great if you would like to donate on top of the $15 annual dues, anything helps the group and your donations will be used in event functions and go towards the Florida environment.

Can I get a refund?
It will be highly unlikely that you will want a refund after attending a T.A.G. event, member testimonies speak for themselves, but yes if you are not happy with your membership in the Tampa Adventure Group, a refund will be given within 30 days.

What does the $15 membership fee get a TAG member?

What happens if there are extra dues left over at the end of the year?
Any leftover dues will go back into the Tampa Adventure Group and help differ costs to events such as
group picnics, parties, or other events. The funds will be appropriately utilized by a member vote of
needed.

Where will the dues be stored?
Yes, In Amazon’s secure banking system with insurance and fraud protection.

Is the Amazon pay system secure?
Yes, it is very secure, all transactions are through 128 bit encrypted pages, no one can see your account
information, passwords, or user names.
