Come and get out of the city life for a day. If you have never visited the Withlachoochee Caves you are missing out. Grab your bug spray, flashlights/headlamps, cameras, water, snacks, and meet us out there at the parking lot on S Lecanto hwy.

Background Info:
LOCATION: (lat. 28°42'32.8" N., long. 82°26'34.9" W.)

There are at least 4 cave entrances along the main trail (trail 22), three are clustered together around the huge opening pictured above. A fourth is a little farther East down the trail. There is real nice one called Peace Cave a 1/4 mile down the trail that heads North of the main cluster.

Where:
We will meet at the dirt parking lot at the intersection of Trail 22 and 10522 S Lecanto hwy. Look for the TAG sign and parking lot with cars just after Stage Coach Road!

All are welcome. Bring the Kids this is a family friendly event! All pets are welcome with a leash.

We squeezed through tight spaces, banged various body parts on solid rock, repeatedly, laughed at ourselves, laughed in general, descended, ascended, slipped in mud, observed a bat neatly tucked into a rock above our heads we gave a tiny contoured eye mask, so he could be studied undisturbed, and just generally had a great time together!
