Join us and learn how to prepare these delicious Mexican dinners! Ole!
We will be preparing authentic Flautas & Taquitos, real-Mexican Chille Verde Burrito with Green Sauce & Cheese, and delicious Stuffed Anaheim Peppers with Cheese (Chile Relleno).
Flautas & Taquitos
Flautas are a authentic Mexican dish made by wrapping a tortilla around a savory filling and deep frying the result. The flautas are served hot out of the fryer, topped with an assortment of ingredients. Typically, multiple flautas are served on a single dish, since small tortillas are often used. In addition to being available in Mexico, flautas are also very popular in the American Southwest, and variations can be found in South America as well.
Chille Verede Burrito with Green Sauce and Mexican Cheese
Chile Verde is a traditional green chile and pork dish. Mexican restaurants all have their own versions, but none compare to my favorite all time authentic chile verde burrito recipe. This is a favorite with my friends, family and my classes. You'll love it, too.
Stuffed Anaheim Peppers with Melted Cheese (Chile Relleno)
The chile relleno, literally "stuffed chile", is a dish of Mexican cuisine that originated in the city of Puebla. It consists of a roasted fresh poblano pepper (the poblano pepper is named after the city of Puebla), and some times substituted with non-traditional Anaheim, or pasilla or even jalapeņo chili pepper. It is stuffed with a melting cheese, such as queso Chihuahua or queso Oaxaca (traditionally), or picadillo meat made of diced pork, raisins, and nuts, seasoned with canella; covered in an egg batter or simply corn masa flour, and fried.
