Try Something Different this valentines Day! Bring your valentine as a couple, or join the rest of us for fun as a single, either way add some adventure into your valentines day this year. Try a Valentines Day Sailing Adventure to Across the Beautiful Tampa Bay for a lunch on a beautiful 41ft Hunter!

Event difficulty Rating: 3 of 10 - Sailing In Tampa Bay (Possible Windy/Stormy Weather conditions causing sea sickness)

Background Information:
We will be sailing and dining on a 41ft Hunter sailing Yacht. Tampa Bay is beautiful to sail, and is one of Florida's most popular day-sailing destinations. Join the skipper, David and his crew as they sail you across Tampa Bay on a beautiful yacht to a great seafood restaurant and bar right on the water, then returns for another afternoon sail back to the Yacht club. Of course no sailing event is complete without a nice glass of wine, which is why we provide complimentary white and red wine for members who attend.

The Skipper:
The event's skipper, has been sailing for 15+ years, has owned multiple sailing vessels and power boats, taught sailing lessons for more than 5 years and has sailed the Gulf of Mexico solo. He currently holds a Coast Guard approved boating license, and Florida boaters safety course graduate.

Itinerary:

8 Hour Day

8:00AM: Arrive at the dock located across from the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and load the boat.
8:30AM: Cast off and sail North East looking for dolphin, and other sea life, and enjoy a drink.
12:00PM: Dock at Hula Bay restaurant and Bar for delicious seafood lunch
2:00PM: Cast off and sail south into Tampa Bay
4:00PM: Begin sailing back to port for the final portion of the trip
5:00PM: Dock, unload, and say goodbyes

Cost:
Note: This is a beautiful sailing yacht, much more stable, sea worthy, and comfortable than most, of course to be able to enjoy such luxury pleasures while sailing costs more.

Retail cost to go on this trip would cost you over $600.35 plus $200 per day for a captain!

T.A.G. Member Price includes:

  • 52% off retail costs!
  • Experienced captain and Crew
  • Fuel
  • Tax

Beautiful boat you selected David; no worries or complaints from me. If the sun is out I want to be up top even though the lower deck? (I could so use/need a boating 101) looks like something off of a TV show; very plush and richly decorated! Again, great choice!

Rachelle, Yes there is plenty of seating both on deck and below, I chose the Hunter 290 because its smaller and costs less to operate. If we get a large crowd signing up for this event I can upgrade the size of the vessel if needed. No worries though :-)

David I think it's just the angle of the picture; is there room to sit out on the boat other than the two chairs/people shown at the back of the boat?

Beautiful Day!!! A bit chilly, but didn't keep hundreds of other sailboats off the water including the final day of the St Pete Yacht Club Regatta. Saw dolphins and learned a little about sailing from Captain Dave and his First Mate Stan. Would definitely recommend this adventure! Can't beat the Value!!!

I had a fabulous time. This was my first sailing experience and I loved it. It was good to be around some down to earth people and have some fun. Can't wait to do it again.

I had a wonderful time -- what a beautiful boat. Great day to sail however a little cold with great company. Thanks David and Stan!

We had a sweet time on Valentines Day. It was a gorgeous boat, smooth sail and really nice lunch. T.A.G. people are always interesting and this was no exception.

What a amazing way to spend Valentines day. Weather was a bit cold, but a relatively calm Tampa Bay made for a very relaxing day. Lunch was fantastic, and special thank you to Dave and Stan for making us all feel like family.
