If you are buying lift tickets you may want to get a two day pass instead of three and skip this day. To fill the evening Mindy and I will be booking the night cycling activity offered at Winter Park Resort. It starts at 5pm, lasts three hours and involves riding bicycles with skis instead of wheels down the slopes until about 9pm. That will pretty much fill the day with a nice break for lunch/nap in the middle if you want to join us.
We are booked for the Saturday half day adventure snowmobile tour on the 16th from 9am to 1pm on the high speed high performance Phazers! Payment is due when we get there.
Things to wear: Googles Gloves Ski Clothes (They rent Coveralls for $5)
We will take the Lodge shuttle around 7:45am into downtown Winterpark to the Rocky Mountain Roastery in Alco Shopping Center. Where the Trailblazer shuttle will pick us up. The trip is about 10-15 minutes total.
The two most common destinations for the longer rides are 12,000 foot Vasquez Mountain and Church Park. The summit of Vasquez Mountain features a spectacular 360 degree view of Grand County, the Continental Divide, the Indian Peaks and Vasquez Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park. You can actually look down into the Vasquez Cirque at the Winter Park Ski Area. http://www.trailblazersnowmobile.com/RatesandInformation/...
Anyone interested in a snowmobile adventure on the first day? Looking at a $140 half day adventure trip on Phazers. We need four riders, got two any takers?
Dre, it is indeed a very beautiful trip on the train which runs up to Winter Park. I hear it has breathtaking views and is a relaxing and comfortable trip.

I just found out that one of the most beautiful train trip in North America is the 2 hour ride on Amtrak's California Zephyr - from Denver to Fraser/WinterPark as you climb to the sky through the heart of the Rocky Mountains. $40 a tix, departs @ 8am. I'm interested.
Michelle, If we are still blistered from Peru we can hang out fireside or sleigh ride!

It was the picture (above) of the kid going down the mountain on the big inner tube that convinced me. I figure if I start out horizontal, I'll be way ahead of the game! (The hot tub looks good, too.)
Taggers here it is!!! This will be one of the most beautiful winters you will ever see. Just look at the pictures! How about joining me for some warm brandy and a night Sleigh Ride? Stan
